Purpose(s)/Goal:
  • Develop a robust professional development model to support training and development for classified staff.
Basis for Establishment:
  • Bellingham Public Schools is a learning organization, committed to supporting staff in best practices through professional development for all adults. This is joint work with our labor associations and part of our contracts.
Decision-Making Process:
  • Works collaboratively with Human Resources and the Department of Teaching and Learning.
Plan of Work:
  • Actively seek out, design and recommend in-service educational activities that are of mutual benefit to the district and the members of the Bellingham Association of School Employees (BASE)
  • Develop a mentorship/job shadowing program

  • Article XVII – Vocational Training, Section 17.4 provides for $12,000
