• Social Studies: Early United States , Harcourt Brace & Company, 2000 - purchased one class set (30 student texts) for every two teachers and purchased one set for each library for student checkout for longer term projects, etc.
• Social Studies: Early United States Teacher Resources - purchased one teacher edition (Volume 1 and 2), assessment program, overhead transparencies, and daily geography charts for every 5 th grade teacher
• Classroom Atlas Program , Rand McNally (30 atlases and 1 teacher's guide) - purchased one for every 5 th grade classroom
• Atlas of American History , Rand McNally (30 atlases) - purchased one for every two teachers
• World/U.S. Wall Map and Globe

Health - teach as per curriculum guide using

The Great Body Shop Teacher's Guide (purple binder), The Children's Health Market, Inc. (purchased one for every 5 th grade teacher)

• required fifth grade puberty unit "Growing Up" (unit has been revised and condensed by BSD for use in our schools)
• required fifth grade unit "Danger Ahead: The Truth About Drugs"
