  • Love Inc.  Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm; 671-6201.  Offer various services through coordinated volunteer efforts of community churches, including budget counseling 
  • Northwest Regional Council  600 Lakeway Drive, Bellingham, 360-676-6749.  Information and assistance for seniors and adults with disabilities who need long term care; Kinshipcare Program
  • Opportunity Council  Monday - Friday, 12:00 to 4:00 pm, 1111 Cornwall Avenue, Suite C, Bellingham, 360-734-5121.  Food, shelter, housing, childcare, community voicemail, landlord/tenant information
  • Salvation Army  M/T/TH/F 9:30-11:30 am, 1:30-4:00 pm; 2919 Northwest Avenue, Bellingham, 360-733-1410.  Food, clothing, household items, holiday programs
  • Hope House  M,T,TH 9:00-11:30 am, Friday 1:00-5:30 pm; 207 Kentucky Street, Bellingham; 360-671-8702.  Food, clothing, bus passes, gas vouchers, ID assistance, prescription assistance, utilities, shower passes.  All assistance is dependent on funds availability
  • DSHS (Department of Social and Health Services)  Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; 4101 Meridian Street, Bellingham; 877-501-2233.  Services include help with food, cash assistance, medical help, child care, child support.  For a complete list of available services, visit the DSHS website

  • Opportunity Council Homeless Prevention Program - Helps keep individuals and families in their homes by providing rental assistance
  • Whatcom Homeless Service Center - Brochure - Eviction prevention, rental assistance and other services
  • Eviction Prevention Program from the Opportunity Council - they currently have Eviction Prevention funding, for more information contact the Communnity Resource Center at 734-5121 (May 2012)
  • Foreclosure Mediation from Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center - For people who are facing imminent default or are in default on their loans and want help talking with theire lender and negotiating a solution.  By referral only from an attorney, housing caseworker, or for low-income legal assistance from Northwest Justice Project's CLEAR line at 1-888-201-1014

  • Brigid Collins - Family support center providing support groups, monthly activity events, pregnancy support for moms in recovery and assists families in finding additional supports in the community
  • Catholic Community Services - CCS Family Centers offer support srevices to families in crisis, as well as services for children who are struggling with family breakup or mental health issues.
  •  Interfaith Community Health Center - ICHC is a state-licensed mental health facility and have a contract to provide mental health services with the Regional Support Network (RSN)
  • NAMI - The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Whatcom County offer workshops, support groups, educational meetings, and resource materials
  • WAHA Behavioral Health Access Program - Connects people to affordable mental health counseling services in Whatcom County
