English Language Development (ELD) Content Standards - Reading and writing standards for English Language Learners are based on the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements - EALRS. The ELD Content Standards are differentiated by language proficiency levels and grade levels.

Guidelines for communicating with English Language Learners
TransACT Translation Library - Our district has contracted with TransACT to provide commonly used school forms in many different languages. The Library contains 60+ documents translated into 23 languages for effective communication with limited and/or non-English-speaking families. Each document is professionally translated, typeset, edited, desktop published and contains our school district's specific information. Migrant and Bilingual Education - This site offers information
about ELL standards, the Washington Language Proficiency Test,
and helpful links to other internet-based ELL resources. The
State Transitional Bilingual Program (STBP) with the involvement
of parents, educators, and community, is committed to address
the unique needs of students from linguistically and culturally
diverse backgrounds and to help them achieve the high content
and performance standards expected of all students in Washington
State.
