Thank you for your interest in a classified (non-teaching/support) position with the Bellingham Public Schools. Application materials may be submitted at any time; however, to be considered for open positions, please follow the application procedures listed below.

Screening/Hiring Process:
Applicants determined to have the qualifications, experience, and greatest potential for the specific opening(s) will be invited to test and/or interview. Please note that having a completed application on file does not guarantee selection for an interview.

Pre-employment Information(for individuals selected for employment):
- A criminal history record, based on fingerprints, will be requested from the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The $56.25 cost of such background check, including fingerprinting, will be borne by the prospective employee.
- The Federal Immigration and Nationality Act requires us to verify your identity and authorization to work before you may commence employment.
- Pursuant to RCW Chapter 43.43, as amended, you will be required to complete a disclosure form indicating whether you have been convicted of certain crimes against persons and/or civil and administrative adjudications of assault, abuse, or exploitation.
- Pursuant to RCW 28A.400.301, you will be required to complete sexual misconduct forms for your previous school district employers in the United States and foreign countries.
For Bus Driver or other Transportation Department positions requiring a CDL-endorsement: Successful completion of federally mandated pre-employment drug testing will be required of the selected candidate. The $65.00 cost of the controlled substance test will be borne by the prospective employee.
