Teaching and Learning


The Office of Teaching and Learning is responsible for the administration of teaching and learning under applicable laws and policies of the Board of Directors. The Deputy Superintendent and the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning supervise district directors, program administrators and principals.  They oversee the elementary and middle school physical education program, the elementary and middle school music program, and the summer school program. Their role is to provide assistance to the Superintendent and provide leadership and support to administrators and principals so that students can achieve high levels of success.  The Deputy Superintendent and Executive Director also facilitate and serve on districtwide committees and task groups. 

The Office of Teaching and Learning implements policies and directives from the Board of Directors and supports and monitors the District’s strategic plan. The office provides information and communicates with a wide variety of community people.
