PHD Troubleshooting for Older PHD+ Scanners

Note: These directions are not necessary when using the Dolphin+ Scanners.

1. If the characters 57*> display on the PHD+:
   • Press and hold down the <6> key until you hear three beeps. Update Menu will appear.
   • If you are updating the PHD+ select Update PHD+. The message Ready to Update? will appear and the unit is ready for you to download the PHD application.
   • If you do not wish to make any changes, select No Changes . This returns you to the Main Menu on the PHD+ display.
2. If the characters 68>, 69>, 62>, 65>, or 66> display on the PHD+II:
   • Press and hold down the 6 key until TP_ displays. Type the number 59 and press <Enter. > The following message will display: Download.y001.2
   • Hold down the 3 key until you hear three beeps.
   • Choose the appropriate option from the menu
     • Update PHD+. The message Ready to Update? appears, indicating the unit is ready for you to download the PHD application.
     • No changes. This will bring you back to the Main Menu on the scanner
3. On the PHD+II, if it really flakes out and won't do anything, hold YES and NO while you press and hold the on/off button for + 10 seconds. You will get 66> on the display. Proceed as in #2 above.
