Families interested in enrolling their children in a Bellingham Public School outside of their attendance area or school boundary area are reminded about the district's transfer policy 3131 and procedures 3131P. Please review the policy and procedures for transfer details and conditions. Transfer requests will continue to be a one-year placement on a space-available basis. All district families who transfer are responsible for transportation to and from any transfer school.
Families may submit the form for Request for Student Area Transfer between Schools in the Bellingham School District 3131F by the end of the school day on Friday, March 15 to the requested school for consideration for the 2013-14 school year. Principals will then meet to review transfer requests. Families will be notified of the transfer request decision in mid-April.
For out-of-district transfer requests, please review policy 3141 and procedure 3141P, and complete form 3141F.
