More Reflections on Start/End Times and Sleep

Dear Families,

In our continuing discussion regarding when school starts and ends each day and the health-related need to get our high-school students a later start time, I thought you might appreciate this article on the front page of Wednesday’s Seattle Times.

I encourage you to take a quick read and also check out my most recent blog, which includes some reflections that I have on my experience of being at Squalicum High School yesterday at 6:30 a.m., as well as reaction from staff about potentially having high school start later.

Thanks to those of you who have commented on my previous blog about start and end times and sleep. We appreciate the continued dialogue and brainstorming.
