5222 Policy – Evaluation of Classified Personnel

All non-certificated employees shall be evaluated annually.  A new employee or promoted/transferred employee shall be evaluated no later than the end of the probationary period.

An employee shall be evaluated by ability to complete assigned tasks and other criteria as set forth in the applicable job description and evaluation instrument.

The evaluation will be reviewed with and a copy provided to the employee.  The employee has the right to attach written comments.  The written evaluation and attached written comments, if any, will become a part of the employee’s district office personnel file.

The Superintendent, or designee, is charged with developing administrative procedures to implement the evaluation of non-certificated personnel in the Bellingham Public Schools consistent with State law and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
