Students living within a one-mile safe distance from school will walk to school. (This is a straight-line, "as the crow flies", one-mile walking distance.) Please check at the link above whether your child will walk to a particular school.
The district partners with the City of Bellingham’s Safe Routes to School program to support families with resources such as a Walking School Bus, Bike Trains and other safe route resources. If you have a question regarding walking routes, please call Transportation at 676-6546.
Bellingham Public Schools safely transports more than 3,500 students to and from school buildings throughout the district, also transporting students on more than 2,000 sports, field and activity trips.
