We’re in the midst of making a shift at Bellingham Public Schools in terms of student discipline. It’s called Restorative Justice. And it’s getting good buzz (as you can see in this Seattle Times article and blog) – not in the flash-in-the-pan-trend kind of way, but in the Changing Practices Changes Lives way.
In honor of Digital Learning Day (last Friday), I wanted to share some thoughts on the impact of technology on student learning. Digital Learning Day was started in 2012 ”as a way to actively spread the innovative practices and ensure that all youth have access to high-quality digital learning opportunities no matter where they live” (Digital Learning Day website: Why Celebrate DLD?).
