Bellingham High School Leadership Update

A Message from Principal Linda Wise Miller

Dear Bellingham High School Families,

I have two leadership announcements to share with you today.

Bellingham High School assistant principal Jeanette Grisham has accepted a new job as principal of Lakewood High School near Marysville. Ms. Grisham has been at Bellingham for five years. Before coming to Bellingham, she was a regional math coordinator for Northwest Education Service District 189 and a middle school math teacher in Stanwood and at Fairhaven Middle School.

We thank Ms. Grisham for her years of service and leadership at Bellingham High School. While we are sad to lose a valued member of our team, we are excited for her and wish her all the best in her next adventures.

Chris Carlson will be joining the Bellingham High administrative team as assistant principal. Mr. Carlson, who has taught in Bellingham Public Schools since 1999, spent the past year as Bellingham High School’s administrative intern and educational technology coach. Prior to that, Chris taught career and technical (CTE) courses and social studies at Squalicum High School and in the Kent School District. Chris earned his administrative certificate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Washington University.

Please join me in wishing Ms. Grisham all the best in her next adventure and in welcoming Mr. Carlson to the leadership team at Bellingham High School!

Sincerely,

Linda Wise Miller

Principal, Bellingham High School
