North Lake Samish Road Closure Impacts Bus Service This Week

A Message from Transportation

Dear Wade King, Fairhaven and Sehome Families of Eligible Riders of Bus 15, 71 and 72,

You may have seen the signs notifying residents in your area that Whatcom County Public Works will close North Lake Samish Road between East Lake Samish Road and West Lake Samish Road. This work is scheduled for 8 a.m. April 11 to 4 p.m. on April 13 for a culvert installation.

This road closure means we are unable to provide regular bus service for your student(s) for April 11, 12 and 13.

Below are alternate stops for your use, or you may provide transportation to/from school.

  • West Lake Samish and Summerland

7:13 a.m. to Wade King (613 Summerland Rd)

7:48 a.m. to Sehome

8:15 a.m. to Fairhaven  (599 Summerland Rd)

3 p.m. from Wade King (1:15 p.m. on April 12 due to early dismissal day for elementary) (613 Summerland Rd)

3:46 p.m. from Sehome (644 W Lake Samish Dr)

4:19 p.m. from Fairhaven (599 Summerland Rd)

  • East Lake Samish and Autumn Lane

7:29 a.m. to Wade King

8:05 a.m. to Sehome

8:30 a.m. to Fairhaven  (875 E Lake Samish Dr)

3:30 p.m. from Wade King (1:45 p.m. on April 12 due to early dismissal day for elementary)

4:18 p.m. from Sehome

4:41 p.m. from Fairhaven (875 E Lake Samish Dr)

This closure is weather-dependent; if the road work is cancelled, buses will be on normal routes.
