A Message from Superintendent Greg Baker
Dear students, staff, families and community members,
I hope your summer break is off to a good start!
As we think ahead to our return to school in the fall (whether that’s in-person, online or a combination of both), we would like your feedback. This email is a reminder to please fill out our feedback form for families and students before noon Monday, June 29. We have extended the deadline to give more time for responses, and we appreciate the input we’ve received already.
Our new Reopening Schools Advisory Committee, which includes staff, students and community representatives, held its first meeting yesterday. Additionally, work teams focused on “remote learning 2.0,” transportation, schedules, and many other topics have begun meeting and planning.
Like many of you, we continue to follow the latest information from Governor Jay Inslee, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to determine how adjustments in their advice and recommendations impact our schools, students, staff, families and broader community.
Please stay tuned in the coming weeks. We will share information with you as soon as we are able.
