A Message from Superintendent Greg Baker
Dear students, staff, families and community,
I am looking forward to hearing from many of you during our virtual conversation via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, May 7. It’s technically a Zoom webinar, so attendees will not be seen or heard.
Please join the meeting using this link: https://bellinghamschools.zoom.us/j/93363608541. To simply listen, call 253-215-8782 or 669-900-6833 and enter webinar ID: 933 6360 8541.
You can also submit a question or topic before 9 a.m. on May 7 via this webform, and we will do our best to provide answers during the meeting. For those of you who cannot make it, we will post a recording of the event on our website some time on Friday.
Based on questions that have already come in, I will be addressing a wide range of topics including graduation, remote learning and meals.
I will offer a quick teaser for our Class of 2020 — We are getting closer to sharing details of what your senior events and graduation ceremonies will look like. We have a thoughtful group of seniors, principals, assistant principals and district staff meeting and processing dozens of ideas. They have been balancing ways to celebrate together while still being safe, which may include students in cars, real caps and gowns, and virtual events. Please know that it is very important to our high school principals, staff, families, community and me that you are honored and celebrated for everything you have accomplished! We have enjoyed hearing from so many of you. Thank you for your creative ideas, and please stay tuned.
I hope to see you tomorrow on Zoom!
