Three Meaningful Ways to Support Our Schools Right Now

A Message from the Bellingham Public Schools Foundation

Become an ambassador

Do you love our local schools? Are you looking to play a deeper and more active role? The Bellingham Public Schools Foundation is accepting new applications for our Ambassador Program. We are seeking parents, high school students, staff, and community members with a variety of backgrounds and diverse voices to serve as ambassadors. High school student voices are especially critical, and this is an excellent chance to build your resume.

By partnering together, we can ensure the BPS Foundation better serves students, from elementary school to high school. Ambassadors will gain a deeper understanding of how non-profits function and work collaboratively on an annual project.

Applications are due the last day before the winter break on Dec. 18. To learn more, please visit our website.

Giving Tuesday

Please join us in helping make #Giving Tuesday, Dec. 1, a powerful day of giving to support students across Bellingham Public Schools. You do not have to be a world leader or a billionaire to give back. Giving Tuesday is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things!

In a school year unlike any other, we are working to help every child survive the present and prepare for their future. The needs in our school community have never been greater – if you are able, please consider making a gift.

Become a Board Member

The Foundation is presently seeking applications for two openings on our Board of Trustees. Individuals who have a diverse range of community leadership and/or professional experience, and are eager to advance the Foundation’s mission, are encouraged to apply.

Our governing board provides accountability to the organization’s stakeholders, along with strong legal and fiscal oversight. It can be a deeply rewarding and meaningful way to advance public education. Interested in learning more? Please access the application here.
