Bellingham Public Schools is pleased to offer free half-day preschools for children who are 3 or 4 years old by Aug. 31, 2020 and live in the Alderwood and Cordata attendance areas and qualify for the program. The program is Thursdays and Fridays from 8 to 11 a.m.
Our Title I Preschool is a free, half-day program located at your neighborhood school. This program focuses on basic academic and social skills to help qualifying students get a high-quality preschool experience in preparation for kindergarten and allows students the opportunity to get to know their school community and programs early. Students will be screened and may qualify based on space, ability, academic and financial need.
The Bellingham Promise, the strategic plan for Bellingham Public Schools, compels us to do all we can in support of all students at every level of education. One of our key strategies is to enhance and invest in early childhood learning opportunities. We believe offering Title 1 preschool is a positive and critical step in helping your child transition into our schools and start their journey to becoming a lifelong learner.
If you are interested in enrolling your child into one of our Title I Preschool programs, please complete this online registration form by Dec. 18 or call Debbie Haney at 360-746-4045 so we can schedule a screening appointment through Zoom to see if your child qualifies.
