Bellingham Public Schools has Title I preschools at Alderwood and Cordata to provide a free, half-day preschool, for children who are 3 or 4 years-old by Aug. 31, 2019, live in the Alderwood or Cordata attendance areas and qualify for the program.
Our Title I Preschool program is a free, half-day program four days per week, every day except Thursdays and is located at your neighborhood school. This program will focus on basic academic and social skills to help qualifying students get a high-quality preschool experience in preparation for kindergarten. This program allows students the opportunity to get to know their school community and programs early. Students will be screened and may qualify based on ability, academic and financial need.
The Bellingham Promise, the strategic plan for Bellingham Public Schools, compels us to do all we can in support of all students at every level of education. One of our key strategies is to enhance and invest in early childhood learning opportunities. We believe offering Title I preschool is a positive and critical step in helping your child transition into our schools and start their journey to becoming a lifelong learner.
If you are interested in enrolling your child into our Alderwood or Cordata Title I preschool program, please complete this online registration form or call Coleen Aylen at 360-676-6470 ext. 4408 by March 31, 2019 so we can schedule a screening appointment to see if your child qualifies.
